My Secret Garden: A Secretly Sweet Sanctuary

The secret garden
In the artsy arena of Sculpture Square, a secretive, lush haven is in business at Middle Street. My Secret Garden, which serves European cuisine to more than just your average arty-farty crowd, is aptly named. The restaurant is nestled comfortably amidst thriving greenery in the middle of Sculpture Square and away from prying eyes along the busy roads of Bugis. Strangers to Sculpture Square may have a hard time hunting down the venue, but the search for a quaint evening chill-out place will be worth your time and effort.

My Secret Garden is more of a chill-out venue for you to lounge at in the evenings. With the abundance of wooden tables and chairs for al fresco dining, patrons can relax under the dusky sky and be enthralled by countless candle flames flickering all around. The casually romantic ambience is undeniably evident and certainly makes the restaurant an ideal place for couples on a frisky evening out.

19 Jul 2008

Both of us were lazing around at home. Initially, thought of going out to watch a movie, Deardear do her waxing and going shopping at Marina Square, but both of us kena attacked by ZZzz bug so we slept through the whole afternoon.

Never know that Kimberly was planning a surprise dinner @ Secret Garden for me. She told me that we will be meeting Ms Tan & Ms Lai at waterloo street. But did not tell me where they are going after meeting both of the gals at waterloo street. We took almost 25mins searching for the street and she keep telling me the place is at 161 waterloo street, was getting abit pissed off as the street directory do not indicate 161 waterloo street and we were going round and round. Finally, she leak the cat out , telling me that we are going to Secret garden. Then I realised that something was not right and I interrogated her into telling me the TRUTH. Maybe I am just smart or what, always managed to found out what she is thinking of. Simply so cute of her to plan the surprise.

The start of the dinner...

Soup of the Day :Mushroom soup Rich and creamy. You can even taste the real mushroom pieces. Yummy...

Fried Calamari - Big chucky pieces of Calamari dip in the thai chilli sauce. Yummy...
Escagot - Not really that nice. Taste abit bitter
Rid eye steak - Not as tasteful as the tenderloin steak

Tenderloin steak - The meat is nicely done and you can really taste the tenderness of the meat

My bday cake: Sin of love.. Heart shaped brownie accompany by choco ice cream - Specially ordered by Mrs Kimberly Yeo when I went to the washroom

Me making my birthday wish.
